Discover one of the jewels of southern Ardèche. You can explore this charming village by starting from the campsite and following the greenway. Nestled amidst spectacular scenery, it captivates visitors with its authenticity and history. Stroll through its picturesque streets and discover its lively market on Friday mornings. Ruoms is the ideal starting point for exploring the Ardèche Gorges, offering an unforgettable experience of the region's unspoiled nature.

Exceptional natural sites Vallon Pont d’Arc and the Ardèche Gorges

Vallon Pont d'Arc, just a few kilometers from Camping la Chapoulière, is the magical gateway to the Ardèche Gorges. This iconic site boasts an impressive natural arch carved by the Ardèche River, offering breathtaking scenery. The Ardèche Gorges themselves invite you on an unforgettable canoeing adventure through spectacular rock formations—a must for nature and adventure lovers.

Between alleyways and river Labeaume

A picturesque little village in the Ardèche Gorges, waiting to be discovered or rediscovered.

Its narrow streets are lined with designer boutiques, and its riverside square is perfect for relaxing on a bench in the shade of the large plane trees.

Don't miss its viewpoint on the opposite bank of the river.

This is where you'll take the most beautiful photo! A little way from the village, take the detour to admire the view of the gardens suspended above the river. Don't forget your swimsuit to enjoy the village beach. We also recommend stopping by the terrace of the Bistrot de Pays for a platter of local products or for some homemade ice cream in the afternoon.

Most beautiful village in France Balazuc

Balazuc is: small houses huddled together on the cliff above the Ardèche River, cobbled lanes, secret passages, vaulted ceilings, cobbled streets, artisan shops, a Romanesque church, and above all, a sandy beach for swimming! But Balazuc is also: the hamlet of Viel Audon, a small hamlet built in the 1970s accessible only on foot along the river and without electricity. A small path along the river will lead you to the hamlet where you can discover many artisanal products: jams, syrups, honey...

Most beautiful villages in France Small

The Via Ardèche, starting directly from the campsite, will allow you to cycle to Vogüé. It's approximately 20km from the campsite on a completely pedestrianized path.

The village, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, is a maze of narrow streets that will lead you to the village's heights to enjoy the most beautiful view.

Vogüé is ideal for a day trip by bike from the campsite. Bring your beach towel and swimsuit to enjoy the beach below the village.
